Experienced, Multi Award Winning Bookkeepers

Our Story

Cashtrak was established in 2006 by Carol Webb, Fellow of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (want to know more about a Fellowship - click here.) Realising the bookkeeping industry was rigid and inflexible, Carol wanted clients to have the choice of the services that they wanted. So, Carol saw a gap in the market for flexible bookkeeping, providing services the client could 'pick n mix' and hasn’t looked back since!

We have come a long way since then and we now employ a number of staff who work seamlessly to ensure our clients receive a better service than anywhere else. Along the way we have picked up a lot of awards including two ICB LUCAS (the Oscars of the bookkeeping world!) and were the first to win a LUCA for best bookkeeping practice twice! More on our awards here.

"Cashtrak are a big benefit for us"

Qualified

Did you know that you don't have to have any qualifications to be a bookkeeper? We think this is shocking! All of our bookkeepers are qualified with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. As a member of the ICB we have to have to not only take qualifications but undertake CPD (Continual Professional Development) as well as having practice insurance.

Our staff are trained to the highest possible standard, in an industry where change is constant, we keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations and nice to haves to ensure we pass on the valuable knowledge resulting in cost and/ or time saving for our clients.

So, you can rest assured that you are in safe, knowledgeable hands.

First Rate Service

We pride ourselves in providing top class customer service, we work closely with our clients to gain an in depth understanding of their business so we are able to provide the best possible service. We  see ourselves as an extension of our client's business and are always available for guidance whether this be bookkeeping or business.

Industries

We can cover any industry and have a vast range of experiences in many industries: pubs; beauticians; hairdressers, builders, suppliers, personal trainers, consultants, brewers, renovators, software programmers, doctors, vets, restaurants, event planners, safety experts and more.

Experienced

Our vast experience ranges across all areas of business: individuals; sole traders; charities; SMEs; limited companies and a whole lot more.

Client Satisfaction

Don't take our word for it though! Have a look at our testimonial page by clicking on this link. Or check out our reviews on Google.

Cashtrak's Team:

Carol Webb, FICB ACM PM Dip, AATQB, ACIPP

Joined Cashtrak: established it in 2006!

Brief career history: a range of different sizes of business gives her a broad insight into some of the unique challenges and problems faced by small companies. As a Certified Bookkeeper, authorised to work in public practice by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, a Sage Accountants club member and Xero Certified Advisor, Carol decided she'd be ideally placed to offer a service dealing, not only with the all the day to day practicalities, but also offering an advisory and systems planning services, enabling SME's to optimise their opportunities without huge expenditure.

Likes: musical theatre and police dramas

Dislikes: too many food producers spice food up too much, what happened to a can of beef & veg soup being just that?!

Which 3 people (alive or dead) would you like to have dinner with? My maternal grandfather, Grampy Hearn, I was only 6 when he died and I never got to know him properly. I was lucky enough to have 20 years with my other grandfather Grampy Bates and he was such an influence on me I want to have an insight into what I missed with Grampy Hearn. And Cliff Richard, I have been a fan for as long as I can remember and was always too late for getting tickets for concerts having only managed to see him a few times.

Dislikes: annoying TV and radio adverts, especially the ones constantly repeated

Joined Cashtrak: March 2020

Brief career history: Jo started off as a bookkeeper, she then worked in a primary school assisting teaching with maths and English whilst doing some bookkeeping in her spare time before returning to bookkeeping full time with Cashtrak.

Likes: heavy metal music (concerts and festivals), birds but particularly birds of prey (I used to have a Harris Hawk called Nimrod) but the Osprey is my favourite. Love camping and walking.

Dislikes: dark chocolate, chocolate orange, marmite and peanut butter

Which 3 people (alive or dead) would you like to have dinner with? David Coverdale (Whitesnake) Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) and Robin Williams

Lorraine Gransden, MICB PM.Dip

Client Account Services

Joined Cashtrak: April 2022

Brief career history: Lorraine previously worked as a programme manager in IT software testing, looking after projects across Europe for retail, logistics, manufacturing, life sciences and the Ministry of Defence which involved a lot of travel. After having children, she realised that the travel was unrealistic so decided to retrain as an ICB certified bookkeeper in order to still have a spreadsheet or two to enjoy!

Likes: Jogging (the art of running slowly), crafts and the stashing of craft materials and the great outdoors.

Dislikes: Argumentative people and Avocado

Which 3 people (alive or dead) would you like to have dinner with? My Dad, Robin Hobb, Ryan Reynolds

Khadija Al-Ajami, AATQB

Client Account Services

Joined Cashtrak: October 2023

Brief career history: Khadija started her career in sales and customer service roles within the accounting and payroll industry, but quickly found herself becoming increasingly curious about the service she was selling to clients. After training with AAT, she transitioned to a bookkeeping role where she built up her experience supporting a variety of businesses with end-to-end bookkeeping and accounts processes, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Likes: reading, going to the theatre, live music and playing video games (but not the shooting ones!)

Dislikes: the rising prices of theatre tickets, birds and train delays

Which 3 people (alive or dead) would you like to have dinner with? Jane Austen, James Baldwin and Bisan Owda

Keith Webb

Administrator

Joined Cashtrak: May, 2022

Brief career history: Keith has been a 'silent' director since Cashtrak's beginning but took a back seat whilst continuing his employment elsewhere. He spent 46 years in electro-mechanical engineering, 20 years of hands-on experience followed by 22 years in technical sales. In between times he spent 2 years as 'househusband' when his daughter was young. He has driven almost everything; coaches, cranes, fork-lift trucks and even tractors!

Following an announcement of a restructure and reduction of staff (not the first that Keith had been involved in) Keith decided the time was right to finally join the Cashtrak team.

Likes: Furry animals, walking in woods, all modes of travel and transport, including having fun operating (North American) model trains in prototype ways.

Dislikes: The current need to make all foods ‘spicy’, noise and light pollution, the perceived entitlement of millennials.

Which 3 people (alive or dead) would you like to have dinner with? Susan Hampshire, possibly the first TV personality I fell in love with and someone who has never disappointed. Toyah Wilcox, I was never into the punk scene, but she always comes across as WYSIWYG, and is possibly far more fun to be with now as ever (if Youtube is anything to go by!) Finally, a ‘marmite’ character in Richard Branson.  He always comes across as someone who is very fair, will listen and supply good advice.  He’s also into North American railroads.
