Client Accounts Services (Bookkeeper)
We are a multi-award winning bookkeeping practice based in the beautiful Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire, in Stokenchurch, near High Wycombe. Established in 2006 by Carol Webb, we are a small team of friendly, qualified bookkeepers and admin staff.
The ideal candidate will have Institute of Certified Bookkeepers qualification(s) or be prepared to transfer your qualifications to the ICB through their conversion pathway (see more https://www.bookkeepers.org.uk/Membership/Exemption-Route.)
This role has been created to work with one of our bigger clients, this will take up to half of the week and the remaining time we have a wide variety of other clients and services you can work on depending on your preference and capacity.
This role will be varied and there is an opportunity to study further to support us with payroll and tax returns should you wish. The role is home based with regular visits to the clients premises near Aylesbury and occasional office visits needed. Training will be mostly office based for the first month, this is in Stokenchurch therefore the ideal candidate must be local.
We are seeking to employ a bookkeeper, not outsource. From previous experience, the ideal candidate won't have their own practice.

Payment of governing body membership
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping tasks such as: reconciling financial transactions, processing purchase invoices, reconcile bank statements with financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve any errors or problems
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budget
Prepare & submit VAT returns to HMRC
Process expenses
Collaborating with team members and external accountants for the preparation of financial accounts and other reporting
Ability to multi-task
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications
Required: The Institute of Certified Bookkeeper qualification or willingness to convert current qualifications over
Nice To Have:
Advanced Excel
Understanding of importing and exporting and the VAT handling
Microsoft Office experience
